More about Melissa:"I am happy to be here to watch my children grow, & to see what they become.I thank god for all the blessings in my life. The friends i have met along the way. They family that has always been by my side through thick and thin!
I am a disabled nurse, LPN, (Low Paid Nurse). I loved being a nurse, i helped people. The job i liked the most was working in the Operating Room! I was a Scrub Nurse! I would scrub up, get my instuments together, then drape the patient and hand the doctor the instruments he needed. It was a difficult job but i loved it. I had to know the names of all the instuments, and know which one the doctor needed so he would not have to ask for it. Also the job required me to stand in one place for hours at a time. The doctors don't like us to change scrubs in the middle of the operation, if you start the operation, you were there until it was over, no matter how long the operation took. There were times that i would finish one operation, scrub out, and scrub right back in for another one. BUT I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! It has always amazed me that you can take something out or put something in and the body gets better.".
